First Place is a ministry on the move! Many people are searching for a First Place group. Excited First Place members are seeking ways to take this life-changing ministry to their own church and community. Longtime leaders are longing for the fellowship and support of fellow First Place leaders. A First Place Networking Leader can provide help, support and encouragement to each of these searching, seeking and longing groups! If you feel a nudging in your heart to fill this volunteer position in your area, continue reading to find out how to become a First Place Networking Leader.

A First Place Networking Leader is one who has:

• Led a First Place class for at least 2 sessions.
• Consistently followed the nine Commitments of First Place.
• Lost most of their weight or maintained their goal weight.
• A passion for the ministry of First Place.
• A desire to teach others how to develop a First Place ministry.
• A servant’s heart and a willingness to serve others.

A First Place Networking leader will:

• Locate and communicate regularly with area-wide leaders with the goal of
  encouragement, data collection and distribution of current information
  concerning First Place.
• Help area churches implement First Place ministries.
• Meet quarterly and/or monthly with area leaders by organizing an Area
  Leaders' Meeting.
• Communicate with the First Place office in Houston on a regular basis.
• Communicate with those who make contact through the website.

How do I get started?
If you feel that this may be what God is calling you to do, then contact First Place. You will then be sent a questionnaire regarding your First Place experience. Complete and return the questionnaire to First Place for further review and prayer, and then First Place will contact you about the possibilities of networking with other leaders in your area.

In First Place, just as in most ministries, the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. We are calling on the Lord of the harvest to send out workers. Will you have open ears to hear and a receptive heart to respond to His call? Let’s not keep this wonderful ministry a secret any longer. May leaders arise and share what great things God has done!
